Hand built Sassafras Leaf Tray with foliage impression. The tray was made using a natural Sassafras Leaf from NC to make impressions in Speckled Brownstone Clay.  Both sides of the piece show leaf texture and impressions.  We used one of the wooden anvils from Pate Woodworks to form the rounded leaf shape.  The Sassafras Leaf Tray was finished using True Celadon glaze for natural leaf green color and texture.  This tray was created by hand as an individual piece of art, yet it is highly functional for everyday use.  Food Safe.  Hand wash. Approximate size: 6" x 5". Hand built.
